Job Summary
Role focuses on data collection to support model training, building high-quality petabyte-scale datasets, and operating the ingestion pipeline. You’ll be scrappy to find new data sources, extend cloud infrastructure for ingestion (GCP, Terraform), and collaborate with Scientists and AI leadership to define the dataset roadmap for Speechify’s next-generation products. Ideal candidate should have a CS-related advanced degree and 5+ years of software development experience, with strong Bash/Python, Docker, and IaC skills, and experience with web crawlers and large-scale data processing. The position offers a fast-growing environment, entrepreneurial team, hands-off management, competitive compensation, and a focus on data-driven AI products that aid learning differences. Remote, distributed work with no office is emphasized.
Required Qualifications
- BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or a related field
- 5+ years of industry experience in software development
- Proficiency with bash/Python scripting in Linux environments
- Proficiency in Docker and Infrastructure-as-Code concepts and professional experience with at least one major Cloud Provider (we use GCP)
