Job Summary
Data-focused Software Engineer role centered on Snowflake. You’ll design data models, build and optimize ELT/ETL pipelines, and turn raw client data into reliable, well-governed analytics and activation platforms. You’ll pair that data work with back-end and DevOps engineering across multiple client engagements, collaborating closely with project managers, developers, and client stakeholders to deliver scalable, performant solutions. Snowflake expertise is the primary focus, with potential work on Redshift and Databricks. Responsibilities include architecting and maintaining data models, warehouses, and pipelines; developing and tuning SQL; leveraging Snowflake features like Snowpipe, Streams & Tasks; owning governance and cost management; designing and maintaining back-end services in Python and C#/.NET; managing CI/CD and deployment automation; configuring Windows/Linux infrastructure; integrating third-party platforms; troubleshooting production issues; contributing to documentation and architecture decisions; collaborating with account managers and clients; mentoring junior engineers and promoting best practices.
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of professional software engineering experience with significant time spent in data engineering
- Deep, hands-on Snowflake expertise: production experience designing data models and warehouses, building ELT/ETL pipelines, and writing performant SQL on the platform
- Working knowledge of Snowflake performance tuning, cost optimization, and security/governance (warehouse sizing, clustering, RBAC)
- Strong proficiency in Python and C# for back-end development
- Hands-on experience with relational SQL databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL)
- Proven experience building and consuming REST APIs
- Practical DevOps experience: CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation
- Comfort working in both Windows Server and Linux environments
- Ability to manage and context-switch across multiple concurrent client projects
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including technical communication with non-technical stakeholders
