Job Summary
Lead and oversee mission-critical initiatives by participating in all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and sustainment. Design, develop, and maintain secure applications using Java, Kotlin, and TypeScript across Oracle and SQL Server databases within AWS GovCloud environments. Build and support cloud-based solutions while conducting code reviews, unit testing, and debugging to ensure compliance with federal regulations and DoW policies. Collaborate within an Agile environment to translate requirements into high-quality software solutions and prepare executive-level briefings for government stakeholders. Work remotely with core hours of 8am - 5pm Eastern Time, with quarterly travel to client sites.
Required Qualifications
- Active Top Secret Clearance (Interim TS will be considered)
- 2+ years of experience supporting the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), including design, development, testing, and deployment of secure, enterprise-level applications
- Must be able to travel once a quarter to an office or client site
- Must be available for core work hours of 8am - 5pm Eastern Time with the option to start earlier or work later depending on time zone
- Must be able to work remotely without access from foreign locations/foreign IP addresses
- Must not use personal VPN connections
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field
- 2 years' experience with working on/around cloud platforms in AWS
- Hands-on experience developing applications using Java or Kotlin, and TypeScript, with strong understanding of object-oriented design principles and modern development frameworks
- Experience working with Oracle and/or Microsoft SQL Server databases, including writing and optimizing queries and ensuring data integrity
- Experience supporting applications in AWS GovCloud or other secure cloud environments, with understanding of cloud architecture, performance optimization, and troubleshooting
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and collaborative development practices, including code reviews, version control, and CI/CD pipelines
- Highly effective analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interface effectively at all levels of the business
- Ability to self-organize, prioritize, and conduct research on multiple projects under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
