Job Summary
Design, develop, and integrate software systems for signals intelligence, radar, and communications prototype development for Navy customers. Produce sustainable code using Java, C/C++, and Python while collaborating with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into end-to-end solutions. Manage the software baseline from development through deployment across multiple environments, utilizing containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes. Troubleshoot dataflow between embedded systems and applications, implementing CI/CD processes to optimize speed and scalability. Maintain Top Secret clearance and obtain TS/SCI clearance for continued employment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field
- 3-5 years of hands-on software development experience
- Strong proficiency in programming language Java
- Understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and system scalability
- Familiar with container automation and orchestration tooling employment (Kubernetes, Podman/Docker)
- Proficiency in front-end and back-end technologies (React, Node.js, Django) and frameworks as required by the role
- Knowledge of Agile software development best practices
- Strong communication skills, ability to work independently and within agile team constructs to lead developers in fast paced, collaborative environments
- Strong documentation skills following templated formats for both informal and formal documents (Confluence, Word, Power Point, Excel)
- Proficiency in debugging issues and providing solutions in both high level and detailed format
- Top Secret clearance requirement to begin employment
- Obtain a TS/SCI clearance as a requirement of continued employment
Desired Qualifications
- 3-5 years in developing software to enable digital signal processing systems, using cloud native platforms, and edge computing environments with a focus on security
- Experience in programming language (C++/C or Python)
- RF and DSP experience
- Proficiency utilizing Linux based system (e.g., RHEL, CentOS, Rocky, VxWorks)
- Proficiency in networking and data distribution protocols as well as frameworks and monitoring tools (Vita49.2, TCP, UDP, Sockets, ActiveMQ, Data Distribution Service (DDS), Wireshark)
