Job Summary
Develop core logic in Python for high-scale content platforms and data-intensive applications. Implement AI features such as RAG pipelines and LLM integrations using Vertex AI. Engineer cloud infrastructure on GCP with Cloud Run, GKE, and Cloud Functions, focusing on performance and observability. Contribute to technical design documents and manage the full code lifecycle from local development to production using Terraform and CI/CD pipelines. Collaborate with US-based product owners and European teams, ensuring proactive communication for early-morning syncs. Champion best practices in API design, security, and automated testing for enterprise-level deployments. Work onsite two days a week in Buenos Aires to build culture and engage in spontaneous problem-solving.
Required Qualifications
- 3-5 years of professional experience in backend development, with a focus on web services and API design
- Mastery of the Python ecosystem (FastAPI, Flask, or Django) and experience with asynchronous programming
- Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform services, specifically App Engine, Cloud Run, Vertex AI, BigQuery, and Cloud SQL
- Proven experience integrating LLMs into applications and an understanding of vector databases (e.g., Vertex Vector Search, Pinecone)
- Proficiency with Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform
- Fluent English skills with the ability to discuss technical trade-offs clearly with both peers and stakeholders
- Present in the office two days a week when not on project work
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with LangChain or LlamaIndex
- Understanding of data pipelines and ETL processes to support AI model training and retrieval
- Experience working with headless CMS architectures or Digital Experience Platforms (DXP)
- GCP Professional Cloud Architect or Professional Data Engineer certification
