Software Engineer, Backend

Backend Software Engineer role on the Rider Experience team within Lyft Urban Solutions. You will own high-impact backend features powering bike-share and scooter-share platforms, driving them from design through launch and iteration. Build reliable, scalable code in Python and/or Go, ensure testing (unit and end-to-end), write specs and runbooks, and contribute to documentation. Rotate on-call for production stability, collaborate with product, data science, analytics, and operations, participate in code reviews, and help drive reliability and performance. Requires 3+ years in production environments and proficiency with Python and/or Go, plus familiarity with AWS and DynamoDB. BS/MS in Computer Science/Engineering or related field (or equivalent practical experience). Hybrid in-office schedule in New York City (3 days/week in-office) with some flexibility to work from anywhere up to 4 weeks per year as noted.
