Software Engineer, Backend - Insurance Operations

Job Summary
Develop high-quality, scalable backend applications for accounting, reporting, and integration services, specifically building and maintaining third-party integrations (ISM, APAD, JPJ) for regulatory compliance. Write clean, efficient code to solve challenging problems while collaborating with diverse teams to design and ship new features. Participate in code reviews to maintain quality, troubleshoot complex issues, and contribute to architectural decisions. Work onsite in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia, with 2+ years of experience in Java or Golang, including proficiency with relational databases, cloud platforms, and clean architecture principles. Join On-Call rotations to ensure service reliability.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of relevant experience in software development
- proficiency in Java (preferred) and/or Golang
- experience with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and Git
- computer Science fundamentals in algorithms and data structures
- hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS)
- experience with clean architecture principles and SOLID principles
Desired Qualifications
- experience with financial/regulatory systems is a plus
