Job Summary
Backend-focused Sr. Software Engineer to contribute to development of the HR software platform. You will write code for backend processes and RESTful public web APIs, research technologies, propose and implement performance optimizations and scaling strategies, integrate projects into the application, and contribute to ongoing improvements of systems and processes. Requires 5+ years of web development experience and proficiency with PHP, HTML, XML, JavaScript, CSS, MySQL, and version control (Mercurial or Git). Preferred skills include C/C++, strong communication with UI/JS teams, collaborative mindset, service-oriented attitude, and demonstrated technical leadership. You will work on multiple projects to advance the next generation of our software and help us maintain our award-winning workplace and product.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years experience in web development
- Experience in PHP, HTML, XML, JavaScript, CSS
- Object Oriented development
- MySQL - both SQL query language and database design
- Version control software, preferably Mercurial or Git
