Job Summary
Backend-focused Software Engineer in HKEX's Markets Systems team. Design, develop, and maintain backend services for the broker OMS certification system in cash and derivatives markets; participate in modernization initiatives with containerized and cloud-native platforms; provide production support including off-hours as needed; collaborate with infrastructure and cyber security to operate in a fast-paced, regulated financial environment. Strong experience in Java (Spring Boot) with 3+ years, plus familiarity with React (TypeScript/JavaScript) as an advantage. Optional hands-on with Kubernetes-based platforms (on-prem or cloud), Helm for packaging/deployment, and Python tooling. Focus on backend system design and implementation, with solid Linux and TCP/IP troubleshooting skills. Location: HKEX - TKO, Hong Kong SAR; Schedule: 40 hours weekly; Permanent role.
