Job Summary
Software Engineer, Android at PhonePe builds and scales Android applications for a 50M+ userbase on the payments platform. The role emphasizes rapid iterative development, product-driven thinking, and strong engineering practices. You will work with Kotlin and modern Android paradigms (MVVM, Data Binding, Dagger 2, LiveData, Room, WorkManager), contribute to architecture and SDK development, and perform unit/instrumentation testing for end-to-end Android app development. Required Qualifications
- Over 5-9 years of full time Android App development experience with strong basics and complete exposure to Android development
- Idea/experience of unit and instrumentation testing in Android E2E App development and/or experience of developing SDKs is good to have
- Strong passion for Programming in general and Android App development in specific
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Strong system design and architecture skills - specifically for android
- Curiosity to tinker around, explore new paradigms and strong zest for continuous improvement
- Experience with Kotlin, MVVM, Data Binding, Dagger 2, Live Data, Room, Work Manager
