Software Engineer - Android Kotlin Automation

Job Summary
Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks and test tools for Android and Android Automotive OS-based systems using Kotlin, Java, and Python. Automate functional, integration, and regression test scenarios while integrating execution with CI/CD pipelines via Jenkins and GitHub. Collaborate with development and QA teams to ensure automation readiness, execute test suites to identify defects, and debug issues using Android debugging tools and logs. Maintain and improve test infrastructure and coverage, participate in code reviews, and contribute to continuous improvement of testing strategies. Work full-time in-office five days a week supporting automotive infotainment and navigation systems.
Required Qualifications
- 2–4 years of relevant experience in automation development and testing
- Strong proficiency in Kotlin or Java
- Good hands-on experience with Python scripting
- Experience with Android Automotive OS (AAOS) or Android-based systems
- Strong understanding of software testing fundamentals
- Experience with test automation frameworks
- Exposure to UI automation tools such as Appium or UIAutomator
- Knowledge of test case design techniques
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines
- Working knowledge of GitHub
- Working knowledge of Jenkins
- Experience working in Agile / Scrum development environments
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Proactive mindset with a focus on quality, automation efficiency, and continuous improvement
- You are expected to work all 5 days in a week in office
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with AAOS test frameworks such as TradeFed or CATBox
- Experience working in Linux environments
- Knowledge of vehicle-level testing or Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) setups
- Exposure to AI-based testing or advanced automation techniques
- Prior experience with automotive infotainment or navigation systems
