Job Summary
The Software Engineer will build computer software systems, participating in the design process from beginning to end. Demonstrates technical domain knowledge of the company, including apps, services, systems, or frameworks. Key Responsibilities include writing clean code to develop functional web applications using object-oriented design, participating in the entire application lifecycle from coding to debugging, troubleshooting, UI testing, building reusable code, gathering requirements, collaborating within an Agile framework, responding to on-call incidents to minimize downtime, and upholding Alkami’s core values. Required qualifications emphasize 2-4 years of software development experience, a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, proficiency in C#/.NET with backend-leaning full-stack capabilities, database experience (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, NoSQL, ORM), cloud-native deployment, Agile experience, REST API familiarity, testing, and strong communication and teamwork skills. Preferred experience includes SaaS in financial tech, Vue.js frontend, AWS, observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry), and Flutter for cross-platform mobile development.
Required Qualifications
- 2-4 years of experience in software development or related field
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or another related field or equivalent work experience
- Proficiency in C# and .NET with backend-leaning full-stack capabilities
- Experience with SQL Server, PostgreSQL, NoSQL, and ORM frameworks
- Understanding of the full software development lifecycle (design, development, deployment)
- Experience developing and deploying applications for Cloud Native Infrastructure
- Experience working within an Agile framework
- Strong analytical and time-management skills with ability to deliver value with some assistance
- Familiarity with monitoring and supporting production systems, issue resolution, proactive measures
- Knowledge of REST API best practices
- Experience with testing (unit/UI/automation/integration)
- Teamwork and problem-solving mindset
- Ability to participate in on-call rotation
- Preferred experience with SaaS offerings in tech/financial industries, frontend with Vue.js, AWS, observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry), Flutter for cross-platform mobile
