Job Summary
Generate software design artifacts and implement Java-based changes for the Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications program. Support design and code reviews, execute software testing, and resolve issues arising from test environments. Present developed designs and actively participate in agile planning and execution using established C2BMC processes. Decompose work and lead sprint planning within a structured, process-driven team environment. Maintain DoD 8140 certification throughout the contract period while working with multiple disciplinary teams to ensure mission success.
Required Qualifications
- Current, active in-scope DoD-issued Secret security clearance at the time of application
- Willingness to travel 10% of the time for business needs
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field from an accredited university
- 5 years of experience
- OR a Master's degree in a related field with 3 years of relevant work experience
- OR 9 years of relevant work experience
- Full life-cycle development experience
- Java application development or alternative OO development experience
- Unix/Linux experience
- Software implementation of mathematical algorithms
- Agile development experience
- DevSecOps experience
- Systems integration experience
- Experience designing and developing complex mathematical algorithms
- Experience in problem-solving, including the ability to review system behavior issues, identify root causes, and recommend solutions
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to work in a highly dynamic environment
- Ability to work with multiple disciplinary teams, including Systems Engineering, Integration and Test, Deployment, and Warfighter Support

Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree (preferred) in a related field with 3 years of relevant work experience
- 9 years of relevant work experience
- Additional experience with MATLAB
- Current, active DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher (such as Security+ CE, CCNA-Security, CySA+, CND, etc.) at the time of application
- Knowledge of developing software within an Agile Development process, decomposing work, and active leadership during sprint planning
- Experience developing software and/or algorithms in a structured, process-driven, integrated team environment
- Knowledge of developing software within a DevSecOps framework for Java-based applications on Unix/Linux platforms
- Experience developing automated unit tests and verifying requirements
- Experience implementing MATLAB- or Python-based algorithms before their adoption into tactical Java-based software
