Job Summary
Software Engineer (Agent Infra) at Hinoki Security, a full-time engineering role focused on core platform infrastructure. You may lead systems that orchestrate research agents, the data layer modeling a customer’s environment in real time, verification surfaces ensuring agent outputs are correct before customer delivery, or reporting surfaces translating work into CISO-level impact. Requires 3–6 years of engineering experience with production AI agents, distributed systems with robust failure handling, cloud depth (AWS/Azure/GCP), familiarity with AI-native workflows (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor), a high degree of initiative, and a preference for small, reversible changes. The team works with TypeScript and C++; no security background is required. Location is San Francisco, CA, in-person.
Required Qualifications
- Three to six years of engineering experience
- AI agents in production
- Distributed systems chops (with real failure modes)
- Cloud fluency (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- AI-native workflow tools familiarity (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor)
- High agency (proactive planning and execution)
- Taste for small, reversible changes (avoid large refactors)
- Proficiency in TypeScript and C++
