Job Summary
Perform schema updates and submit Lucene queries while tuning Solr/Elastic shards for performance and query optimization. Leverage 3+ years of big data experience with Hadoop, Pyspark, Spark, and HBase alongside 5+ years of back-end Java development to implement code undergoing reviews, unit testing, and integration testing in production environments. Maintain intermediate to expert proficiency in Solr or Elastic Search within a federal agency support context.
Required Qualifications
- Performing schema updates
- Possessing significant knowledge & experience in submitting Lucene queries
- Possessing significant knowledge & experience on how Solr/Elastic shards work
- Possessing significant experience tuning Solr/Elastic for performance and query optimization
- Intermediate to Expert level experience in Solr or Elastic Search (minimum 3 years)
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a big data environment using tools such as Hadoop, Pyspark, Spark, and Hbase (prefer at least two of the list)
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on, back-end Java development experience (not Javascript or Springboot) implementing code that undergoes code reviews, unit testing, integration testing and deployed to a production environment
- College degree in Computer Science or equivalent technical degree
- TS/SCI w/Poly
Desired Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience working with several AWS services
- Demonstrated experience with JIRA and GITHUB
