Job Summary
Design hardware for digital development boards and instrumentation systems while developing VHDL applications and IP for digital solutions. Research technical solutions, test designs using prototypes, and troubleshoot hardware and digital design challenges. Partner with software developers and global R&D teams to deliver high-quality solutions and provide technical leadership by guiding design decisions and mentoring team members. This role requires a Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering or Computer Science, strong knowledge of digital design fundamentals, and expertise in signal integrity and timing. Based in Cluj-Napoca, the position offers full lifecycle involvement from concept through manufacturing support within Emerson's collaborative culture.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
- Strong knowledge of digital design fundamentals such as state machines, memories, counters, registers, and combinational logic
- Expertise in signal integrity and digital timing
- Hands-on experience with AMD Vivado, TCL, and GitHub
- Strong English communication skills
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with FPGA-based development environments
- Exposure to instrumentation products or embedded/digital prototyping platforms
- Experience collaborating across hardware and software engineering teams
