Job Summary
Lead the design, implementation, and delivery of scalable, reliable software solutions throughout the software development lifecycle, utilizing AI-assisted engineering tools to improve efficiency and validate outputs against architectural standards. Drive technical decisions for complex initiatives from design through production deployment while participating in design reviews, code reviews, and sprint planning. Own production systems by troubleshooting critical escalations, enhancing observability, and contributing to CI/CD automation and platform reliability. Mentor software and QA engineers on best practices, technical problem-solving, and modern development workflows. Collaborate cross-functionally with product, architecture, and operations teams to deliver secure, scalable software that impacts the healthcare experience.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
- 5+ years of experience building and supporting distributed software applications
- Experience with different technologies: Microsoft .NET/C# SQL Server, MongoDB, Redis JavaScript, HTML, CSS React and/or Angular RESTful APIs AWS, Azure, or GCP RabbitMQ, MSMQ, NServiceBus CI/CD and DevOps tooling Observability and monitoring platforms AI-assisted engineering tools including Claude Code
- Occasional domestic and/or U.S. travel for in-person events and meetings
Desired Qualifications
- Strong experience building software using Microsoft .NET/C#, Java, and cloud-native technologies
- Experience designing and implementing scalable APIs, distributed systems, and backend services
- Experience building and improving CI/CD pipelines and engineering automation
- Strong understanding of software quality, observability, scalability, resiliency, and operational excellence
- Experience mentoring engineers and contributing to technical leadership across teams
- Experience leveraging AI-assisted engineering tools to improve development workflows and engineering outcomes
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse audiences
- A passion for continuous improvement and influencing engineering standards across the organization
