Job Summary
Design, develop, and maintain advanced low-code applications, business workflows, and collaboration environments using the Microsoft Power Platform, SharePoint, and the Atlassian Suite. Build automated processes for data extraction, task tracking, and personnel management while leveraging AI-assisted development tools to optimize code and improve quality. Collaborate with Systems Engineers to translate operational requirements into functional software capabilities, design intuitive user interfaces, and ensure all solutions comply with DoD/MDA security and data accuracy standards. Work within an Agile environment to support the Missile Defense Agency's Modeling & Simulation team.
Required Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, a related technical field, or equivalent professional experience
- 5+ years of applicable software engineering, business process automation, or software development experience
- Active Secret security clearance
- Experience developing custom process automation tools, workflows, forms, and collaboration solutions using Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate), Jira, Confluence, and SharePoint
- Strong understanding of software development principles, databases, APIs, system design, and maintainable coding practices
- Experience using AI-powered development tools (such as GitHub Copilot, Gemini, or similar coding assistants) to support daily software development and troubleshooting
- Ability to work in an Agile development environment, translating user needs and business processes into clear technical solutions
- Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on delivering secure, reliable, high-quality solutions that meet strict mission needs
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work directly with systems engineers, stakeholders, and leadership
- Must be able to travel (0-10%)
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with front-end web development languages and frameworks (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
- Familiarity with AI/ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch)
- Experience working on DoD software programs, government contracts, or within the MDA environment
- Prior experience collaborating with Systems Engineers to develop software requirements
- CompTIA Security+ CE
- DoDD 8570/8140 certification
