Job Summary
Design, build, and operate large-scale data pipelines that ingest and process network telemetry at cloud scale. Develop routing intelligence capabilities to detect, troubleshoot, predict, and mitigate network issues in multi-tenant data center environments. Build scalable, highly available services on the Mist platform, contributing across the stack from data ingestion through analytics. Collaborate with engineering teams to build AI-powered networking solutions that improve operational efficiency and customer experience. Leverage modern AI-assisted development tools, including GitHub Copilot, to improve engineering productivity. This role is hybrid, requiring two days per week in the Sunnyvale, CA office.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field
- Minimum of 5 years of professional software engineering experience
- Hands-on experience building cloud-native applications and processing large-scale data
- Experience with distributed streaming and data processing technologies such as Kafka, Apache Storm, or Apache Flink
- Experience with distributed databases such as Cassandra, ArangoDB, Elasticsearch, or similar technologies
- Recent experience using AI-assisted coding tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot) in day-to-day software development
- Strong software development skills and excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Working knowledge of networking fundamentals and routing protocols
- Experience building highly scalable distributed systems or cloud services
- Interest in AI-driven networking, data analytics, and autonomous operations
- Work on average 2 days per week from an HPE office
- Location: Sunnyvale, CA (Hybrid)
