Job Summary
Software Engineer 2 for SageCor Solutions in the Maryland/D.C. area. Requires active TS/SCI with Polygraph. Candidate should hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience with 4+ additional years) and have 14+ years of Software Engineering experience on similar programs. Responsibilities include developing software in Java and web applications in Angular, designing RESTful APIs, and working with PostgreSQL. Must participate in Agile/Scrum teams and produce technical documentation. Preferred: experience migrating to Spring Boot, Docker-based microservices, government AWS cloud (Fargate, Aurora PostgreSQL), GitLab CI/CD, Jira/Confluence, and document/data processing capabilities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university.
- Candidates without Bachelor's degrees will be considered on a case by case basis and require 4 additional years of related experience.
- Fourteen (14) or more years of experience as a Software Engineer on programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
- Experience developing software using Java and developing web applications using Angular or similar front-end frameworks.
- Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs and working with PostgreSQL or other relational database technologies.
- Experience with application modernization and software architecture evolution.
- Experience working within Agile/Scrum development teams and creating and maintaining technical documentation.
