Job Summary
Develop and maintain complex software systems for processing-intensive analytics, large data sets, and real-time systems using Java, Hadoop, Kubernetes, and Map/Reduce. Design and code new features, debug defects, and integrate software into modified operating environments while developing algorithms to meet strict performance and functional standards. Oversee software development teams, perform quality control, and implement recommendations for improving documentation and process standards. Troubleshoot infrastructure issues such as HDFS node failures and manage Kubernetes deployments, often serving as a team lead on projects requiring TS/SCI clearance.
Required Qualifications
- TS/SCI - Polygraph required
- in-scope poly (within 7 years)
- Experience setting up, deploying, and troubleshooting Hadoop, Map / Reduce, Accumulo and Zookeeper
- Familiar with Kubernetes deployment and troubleshooting
- Familiar with and able to develop and run ansible playbooks
- Primary development language would be Java
- Experience writing Map / Reduce applications
- Experience writing Accumulo iterators and using scanners and Accumulo ingest (streaming and bulk ingests)
- Familiarity with the Data Warehouse and their processing pipelines
- Fourteen (14) years' experience as a SWE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university
- Four (4) years of additional SWE experience on projects with similar software processes
