Job Summary
Manage Hadoop, Map/Reduce, Accumulo, and Zookeeper infrastructure by setting up, deploying, troubleshooting, and sustaining systems, including offline nodes due to disk or memory failures. Develop and run Ansible playbooks while writing Java applications, specifically Map/Reduce jobs, Accumulo iterators, and scanners for bulk imports and streaming. Maintain familiarity with Data Warehouse processing pipelines. Requires 14 years of software engineering experience in similar programs and contracts, with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent project experience.
Required Qualifications
- in-scope poly (within 7 years)
- Experience setting up, deploying, and troubleshooting Hadoop, Map / Reduce, Accumulo and Zookeeper
- Familiar with Kubernetes deployment and troubleshooting
- Familiar with and able to develop and run ansible playbooks
- Primary development language would be Java
- Experience writing Map / Reduce applications
- Experience writing Accumulo iterators and using scanners and Accumulo ingest (streaming and bulk imports)
- Familiarity with the Data Warehouse and their processing pipelines
- Fourteen (14) years' experience as a SWE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university
- Four (4) years of additional SWE experience on projects with similar software processes
