Job Summary
Design, develop, test, and deploy complex software systems for federal government customers, focusing on processing-intensive analytics, real-time systems, and large data sets. Implement and sustain the GHOSTGEM software suite using Java, Spring, and Python while integrating COTS and FOSS products. Debug defects, resolve problem reports, and modify existing code to improve performance or adapt to new hardware. Develop algorithms, write documentation, and execute test procedures to ensure adherence to design requirements. Collaborate as part of a team to analyze user requirements, design system components, and utilize containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.

- Master's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university
- two (2) years of experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity
- Four (4) years of experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity
- Experience using the Linux CLI and Linux Tools
- Experience developing scripts using Bash/Python
- Recent software development experience using Java
- Recent software development experience using the Spring Framework including Spring Boot, Spring Data and Spring Integration
- Experience with NoSQL databases including MongoDB
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and containerd
- Experience with container orchestration technologies including Kubernetes
- Familiar with Messaging Frameworks such as RabbitMQ and Kafka
- Familiar with CI/CD principles, methodologies, and tools such as Bamboo and GitLab CI
- Familiar with IaC principles, methodologies, and tools including Ansible
- Experience using Git Source Control System
Desired Qualifications
- Has experience with agile development processes
- Has experience with source code control systems, such as Git
- Serve as team lead at the level appropriate to the software development process being used on any particular project
- Experience using the Atlassian Tool Suite including Jira and Confluence
- Experience creating Helm Charts to deploy containerized services in a Kubernetes environment
