Job Summary
Ship work across the stack, from bug fixes and small features to test coverage and tech debt, while tracing real requests end-to-end to build a mental model of custody, clearing, and trading. Use AI coding tools as a default part of your workflow, reviewing their output with the same rigor as your own code. Participate in all scrum ceremonies, including refinement, sprint kick-off, standups, demos, and retros. Work directly with Product, QA, and UX to clarify requirements, reproduce bugs, and ask design questions. Investigate and resolve QA/UAT issues, pairing when needed. This early-career role offers a dedicated onboarding buddy and weekly meetings with a team lead.
Required Qualifications
- Up to 2 years of professional software engineering experience
- Working knowledge of JavaScript or TypeScript
- Comfort with at least one of Node.js (back end) or React (front end)
- Hands-on experience with AI coding assistants
- Familiarity with relational databases and writing SQL
- Comfort with git-based workflows: branch, PR, review, CI
- Clear written communication, with a strong command of the English language
- The instinct to ask for help at the right time
- Authorized to work in the U.S. or Canada
- Able to pass a comprehensive background check
Desired Qualifications
- Exposure to microservices, Docker, or cloud platforms (AWS)
- Automated testing experience
- Any background in finance, brokerage, trading, or blockchain
