Job Summary
Design, develop, test, and maintain best-in-class software experiences with full-stack ownership, writing production-ready code that adheres to U.S. Bank standards. Perform analysis on failures to propose design changes and operational improvements while conducting code reviews to guide engineering best practices and compliance. Make sound design and coding decisions prioritizing customer experience, scalability, reliability, and performance within agile software development and DevOps principles. Ensure all product development follows security best practices and embraces emerging technology opportunities to support the bank's technology transformation.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
- Two to three years of relevant experience
- This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship or transfer of visa sponsorship
- Location: Earth City, MO
- This role requires working from a U.S. Bank location three (3) or more days per week
- Applicants must be able to comply with U.S. Bank policies and procedures including the Code of Ethics and Business Conduct and related workplace conduct and safety policies
Desired Qualifications
- Expertise in ReactJS, Next.js, JavaScript (ES6+), and Node.js for building scalable, high-performance web applications
- Strong experience with Micro Frontend architectures, reusable component libraries, and modern UI engineering practices
- Proficiency in GraphQL, Apollo Client, Redux, Context API, Axios, and state management frameworks
- Advanced knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, SCSS, Styled Components, responsive design, and cross-browser compatibility
- Experience building accessible, user-centric applications with a strong focus on WCAG/ADA compliance, usability, and performance optimization
- Solid understanding of web application architecture, design patterns, authentication/security (JWT/OAuth), and modern front-end tooling including Webpack, Babel, and NPM
- Proven ability to design, develop, and support scalable enterprise applications with a focus on reliability, maintainability, and operational excellence
- Hands-on experience with Agile, DevOps, CI/CD, Git, Jenkins, CloudBees, and Azure DevOps/TFS within modern software delivery environments
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical design skills, with the ability to evaluate dependencies, testing strategies, performance, resiliency, and supportability
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions and align technology initiatives to business objectives
