Job Summary
Deploy and maintain AWS and Kubernetes infrastructure supporting the organization's AI capabilities, ensuring reliable and secure foundations for customer applications. Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code for repeatable deployments, while configuring observability tooling to monitor production service health. Diagnose and resolve production infrastructure issues, manage certificates, and collaborate with teams to provision dependent services. This role requires TS/SCI clearance and proficiency in Python, Docker, and cloud-native tools like Terraform and Helm. Join the Platform team at Akina in Annapolis Junction, Maryland, where you will help build the next generation of AI infrastructure.
Required Qualifications
- TS/SCI - Polygraph required
- Proficiency with Python or another modern programming language
- Familiarity with AWS or other cloud service providers
- Understanding of containerization concepts and tooling such as Docker
- Ability to learn new technologies quickly
- Strong communication skills and a willingness to ask questions
- 3 yrs. YOE
- B.S. in a technical discipline or 4 additional yrs. in place of B.S.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with AWS services such as EKS, Terraform, and IAM
- Experience with Kubernetes and Helm/Kustomize
- Experience with Argo CD and/or other CI/CD frameworks
- Experience with the Elastic Stack (Kibana), Grafana/Prometheus, or other observability tools and practices
- Experience with certificate management
- Experience supporting cloud-native architecture or maintaining production software and infrastructure
- Familiarity with LLMs and AI hosting concepts
