Job Summary
Lead the design and evolution of Mattel’s first-party consumer data ecosystem, architecting privacy-first collection, unification, governance, and activation of consumer data across marketing and analytics platforms. Oversee integration of BlueConic (CDP), Klaviyo (CRM), and the internally developed Consumer Master system; define and manage identity resolution and unified consumer profiles; develop data models and integration frameworks to support marketing activation, analytics, and operations; establish data governance standards and evaluate a Master Data Management (MDM) solution to unify data across systems; collaborate with engineering, analytics, and marketing teams to build scalable data pipelines while ensuring regulatory compliance and data quality; provide technical leadership and strategic direction for the organization’s evolving consumer data strategy.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or a related field (Master’s preferred)
- 7+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or consumer data platform implementations
- Proven experience designing and implementing consumer data ecosystems supporting marketing and digital engagement
- Strong experience with customer data platforms (CDPs), CRM systems (e.g., BlueConic, Klaviyo, Salesforce)
- Deep understanding of first-party data strategies, identity resolution, and unified consumer profile architectures
- Experience designing and implementing data models and architectures within Google Cloud Platform and BigQuery
- Advanced SQL and understanding of large-scale data integration and data pipeline architectures
- Experience evaluating or implementing Master Data Management (MDM) solutions and data governance frameworks
- Strong knowledge of data privacy principles and regulatory considerations (GDPR, CCPA)
- Proven ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable technical architecture solutions
- Strong leadership, collaboration, and communication skills in Agile environments
