Job Summary
Lead and mentor a team of software engineers and developers, fostering a culture of high performance while driving end-to-end delivery of scalable, reliable systems. Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance across applications, participating in design and code reviews to ensure adherence to engineering best practices and QA methodologies. Collaborate with product, business, and technical stakeholders to define roadmaps, manage team capacity and priorities, and promote modern development tools, automation, and AI-assisted engineering. Support IT Operations to ensure system stability and resolve issues as needed. Generate cost savings through optimized delivery practices and work with broader teams including PMO and application delivery to execute broader IT mandates.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Software Development Manager with leadership responsibilities
- Strong background in software development and system design
- Experience leading and mentoring engineering, development and QA teams
- Strong understanding of software architecture, APIs, and scalable systems
- Experience with Agile/Scrum or similar development methodologies
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
- English language proficiency to collaborate with software development teams, technology vendors, and business stakeholders located outside Quebec
- Ability to review technical documentation
- Ability to support enterprise software platforms
- Ability to communicate on technical projects conducted primarily in English
