Job Summary
As Software Development Manager (SDM) at Coupang, lead a team of engineers to build scalable, high-availability systems that enhance customer experiences in Korea/Asia. Responsibilities include managing an agile development team, recruiting and coaching engineers, defining system architecture with peers, prioritizing requirements, collaborating with product owners and stakeholders to establish a roadmap, measuring and reporting system indices, supporting implementation and operation, and driving improvements in development processes and business operations. Demonstrate technical leadership to solve complex problems, align delivery with product goals, and guide team growth and career development through 1:1 evaluations and counseling. The role emphasizes customer-centric delivery, architectural vision, and the ability to attract and retain top engineers, with a hybrid work model (minimum three days in the office per week, two work-from-home days depending on role requirements) based in Bengaluru, India.
Required Qualifications
