Job Summary
Lead a team of engineers to design, build, and operate full-stack applications that enable creators to earn a living through features like Subscriptions, Gifting, Turbo, Bits, and Hype Train. Establish a clear vision for your team, generate urgency to deliver for customers, and take high ownership of services by architecting, building, and operating them across the stack and functions. Partner with engineering leaders, product managers, designers, and data specialists to deliver solutions while articulating behaviors that grow careers and dissecting trade-offs to overcome challenges. This role requires 8+ years of software development experience and 2+ years of people management, with a base salary ranging from $184,900 to $287,700 USD depending on location in San Francisco or Seattle.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of software development experience
- 2+ years of people management experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Clarity of thought and articulation
- Experience with web services, cloud infrastructure, and system design
- Ability to attract, hire and retain engineering talent
- Comfortable operating within an ambiguous and ever changing environment
- Track record of leading teams to design, implement and operate consumer-facing applications
- An impact oriented and product engineering leader mindset
- This role can be based in San Francisco, CA or Seattle, WA
Desired Qualifications
- Hands-on experience building applications using Golang, AWS Cloud Infra and/or React
- Experience building Machine Learning or AI applications
- Masters degree in Computer Science or related technical field
