Job Summary

Design, develop, deploy, and maintain software services and applications for AWS-based systems supporting advanced data processing and analytics. Participate in code reviews, daily stand-ups, and system design while collaborating across teams to integrate tools and enhance existing systems. Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize software, leveraging AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity. Monitor system health and performance, maintaining healthy production environments using Python, C++, Kubernetes, and Docker. Contribute to iterative product development and technical documentation within an Agile framework.

Required Qualifications

  • U.S. Person status (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, Asylee, or Refugee)
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related technical field
  • 1+ years of professional software development experience
  • 1+ years of hands-on experience developing applications in Python and/or C++
  • Experience building service-oriented architectures and API-driven applications using Flask or similar frameworks
  • Experience deploying and managing applications using Kubernetes in AWS environments
  • Strong understanding of Docker containerization technologies
  • Working knowledge of relational and non-relational databases, including PostgreSQL, SQL, and NoSQL
  • Understanding of software operations, monitoring, debugging, and maintaining healthy production systems
  • Familiarity with Agile software engineering practices and methodologies

Desired Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience working throughout the full software development lifecycle
  • Knowledge of AWS or comparable cloud platforms
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or similar tools
  • Knowledge of geospatial, geodesic, photogrammetric, or remote sensing technologies
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Self-motivated, collaborative, and detail-oriented with a willingness to work closely with technical systems and processes
