Job Summary
As a Software Engineer on the Pipedream team, you will help expand the core capabilities of Pipedream Connect and its growing catalog of connectors to meet evolving customer needs. You will work across a diverse tech stack including Go, Node.js, Rust, Rails, Kotlin, SQL, Redis, and Kubernetes, and contribute to projects such as dynamic auth scopes for least-privilege connections, service-level account connections for enterprise management, and document management/authorization across multiple third-party platforms. The role emphasizes rapid delivery of features, API/backend development, and collaboration across teams to drive enterprise-scale impact, with opportunities to learn new technologies and grow within a startup-like environment inside Workday.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of related software development experience
- 2+ years of experience developing REST/GraphQL APIs with a common web application framework (e.g., Rails, Node.js/Express)
- Experience working with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL)
- Familiarity with key-value data stores (e.g., Redis, Valkey)
- Experience with techniques for scaling high-volume APIs
- Proficient in API development, including designing, building, and maintaining APIs that enable integration with external systems and improve software modularity, security, and performance
- Experienced in code testing methodologies such as unit testing, integration testing, and regression testing
- Solid understanding of the full software development lifecycle
- Proficient with source control management tools and practices
- Effective team collaborator with strong communication
- Skilled in technical writing and documentation
- A genuine passion for learning and intellectual curiosity
- Experience with JVM languages (e.g., Java, Kotlin), Go, and/or Rust is a plus
- Experience building distributed applications on cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) is a plus
