Job Summary
Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) at Sony Interactive Entertainment focused on building tools and infrastructure to analyze the PlayStation SDK quality. Own automation frameworks, test architecture, and CI systems; define scalable automation patterns for long-term platform growth; contribute to test-system architecture across C++, embedded firmware (C), and Python-based infrastructure. Hands-on engineering to craft and improve automated test cases, sample applications, testing tools and frameworks for SDK libraries and low-level software (C++); build/test infrastructure with Python and Groovy; monitor automation failures, improve reliability, and optimize runtime performance. Collaborate with software production and offshore teams to design robust test plans, validation strategies, and documentation. Strong technical leadership, excellent interpersonal skills, and a track record of architectural decisions and complex debugging. Nice-to-have exposure to Android SDK, Unity/Unreal Engine familiarity, and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes). Base pay range listed as $140,500–$210,700 USD and may vary with hybrid working policy and location; eligible for benefits and potential bonus.
