Software Development Engineer in Test

Job Summary
SDET position within the Product Engineering Payments division requiring design, development, and maintenance of automated test frameworks for UI, API, and integration testing. The role collaborates with developers, product managers, and DevOps to improve test coverage, reliability, and performance; integrates automated tests into CI/CD pipelines; analyzes defects and enforces quality practices; and mentors junior QA/SDET team members. The candidate should be proficient in core Java/JavaScript/TypeScript, have 3-5 years of QA experience, and hands-on experience with Playwright/Selenium/Cypress, testNG/Cucumber, REST API testing, Git, CI tools, Maven/Gradle, SQL/NoSQL, BDD/TDD, cloud-based systems, and Docker-based CI/CD. The role operates in a Scrum-team environment with Agile mindset and emphasizes continuous learning, performance, and collaboration. Based in Pune, India.
Required Qualifications
- 3-5 years of QA experience
- Expertise in core Java/JavaScript/TypeScript
- Experience with testNG/Cucumber
- Hands-on experience with automation tools/frameworks (Playwright, Selenium, Cypress)
- Experience testing RESTful APIs with Postman/REST Assured
- Experience with Git
- Experience in CI tools (Jenkins, GitLab, GitHub Actions, Bitbucket)
- Experience with build tools (Maven, Gradle)
- Basic experience in SQL/No-SQL (MongoDB)
- Knowledge of BDD, TDD, Data Driven Testing
- Knowledge of Cloud-based systems
- Experience in setting up CI/CD for automation tests using Docker
- Strong debugging skills
