Software Development Engineer in Test (Contract)

Job Summary
Contract SDET role focusing on building and maintaining automated test frameworks, integrating tests into CI/CD, and validating real-world user workflows in a greenfield B2B SaaS environment. Responsibilities include developing end-to-end tests, scaling test automation frameworks (Playwright/Cypress/Selenium), reviewing PRs for test coverage, API testing, integrating tests into CI/CD, and collaborating with engineers, product managers, and UX teams to enable rapid, high-quality releases. Requires 5-10 years of SDET experience, TypeScript proficiency, experience with modern UI automation frameworks, and a Bachelor's in Computer Science. Note: position is hybrid with 3 days onsite in Kent, WA, and contract duration is 6 months with potential to become full-time.
Required Qualifications
- 5-10 years of SDET experience
- Bachelor's in Computer Science
- Strong experience in end-to-end testing for B2B SaaS applications
- Proficiency in TypeScript
- Hands-on experience with Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium
- Experience with API testing (Postman, REST Assured, SuperTest)
- Strong understanding of test automation best practices, including Page Object Models (POM) and reusable test components
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment, ensuring efficient test execution and quick releases
