Job Summary
Software Development Engineer in Test (Cloud) at Cerebras Systems is responsible for owning the weekly cloud release quality end-to-end and building scalable test infrastructure to support growth. You will read and understand changes in release branches, design qualification strategies to exercise identified risks, and serve as the final voice before a release ships. You will develop and evolve test infrastructure for functional, integration, performance, and fault testing across the Inference Cloud platform, plan for 20x growth in coverage and traffic, and debug across the full stack (client SDK, API, gateway, inference software, driver, hardware). You will review developer PRs with an understanding of blast radius, expand automation, fix flaky tests, and leverage AI tooling to accelerate test development, debugging, and analysis. The role requires cross-team collaboration across time zones (platform, ML, infrastructure, product) and a willingness to operate under ambiguity with a strong bias for quality. The team focuses on release quality ownership, end-to-end system understanding, and driving quality standards for ready-to-ship releases, all in a distributed cloud environment with multi-region production services.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in quality engineering, test engineering, or a closely related role
- Deep cloud platform experience, preferably AWS
- Track record of building scalable test infrastructure
- Strong systems debugging and reasoning
- Strong proficiency in Python, Go, or C++
- Excellent written and async communication
- Self-direction under ambiguity
