Job Summary
Hands-on Software Engineer role embedded in Blue Origin's HR Technology Operations, focusing on building and deploying HR technology solutions across Workday, Cornerstone, and LMS platforms. Develop and deploy digital employee experiences, build integrations between HR enterprise systems using RESTful APIs, SOAP, GraphQL, and message queues, and assist in applying AI technologies (LLMs, intelligent automation) to enhance HR software capabilities. Collaborate with HR business partners, data analysts, and stakeholders to translate people-operations requirements into actionable software solutions. Write efficient, maintainable code for enterprise-scale HR systems, produce and maintain technical documentation for integrations, and apply DevOps/CI-CD practices to automate deployment. Stay current with emerging HR tech trends and AI/ML advancements, participate in code reviews, and contribute to the team’s engineering practices.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related field
- 3+ years of software development experience
- Proficiency in Java, Python, or JavaScript/TypeScript
- Experience developing or consuming APIs in production
- Familiarity with HR technology platforms such as Workday, Cornerstone OnDemand, or similar LMS/HCM systems
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)
- Strong CS fundamentals (algorithms and data structures)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
