Job Summary
Software Development Engineer at CVS Health responsible for designing, developing, and implementing digital solutions and software components. You will define technical architecture, write and optimize code, conduct testing and debugging, perform code reviews, and collaborate across cross-functional teams to ensure scalability, performance, and maintainability. You will explore new tools and techniques, create technical documentation, participate in agile processes, and travel at least 10% to office, conferences, on-sites/off-sites, and events. The role emphasizes architectural decisions, feature development, integration of components, and contributing to the technical direction of digital engineering projects. Required Qualifications
- Minimum Requirements: 5 years of relevant work experience

- Strong software engineering fundamentals (data structures, algorithms, async programming patterns, object-oriented design, parallel programming)
- Strong understanding and demonstrated experience with at least one popular programming language (.NET , GoLang or Java) and SQL constructs (PostGres, Snowflake, MS SQL)
- Experience writing and maintaining frontend client applications, Angular preferred
- Strong experience with revision control (Git)
- Experience with cloud-based systems (Azure / AWS / GCP)
- High level understanding of big data design (data lake, data mesh, data warehouse) and data normalization patterns
- Demonstrated experience with Queuing technologies (Kafka / SNS / RabbitMQ etc)
- Demonstrated experience with Metrics, Logging, Monitoring and Alerting tools
- Strong communication skills
- Strong experience with use of RESTful APIs and AKKA messaging technology
- High level understanding of system deployment tasks and technologies. (CI/CD Pipeline, Kubernetes, Terraform)
- Preferred Qualifications: Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP) preferred. AWS Certified DevOps Engineer preferred.
