Job Summary
We seek a Lead Software Engineer to drive and execute implementation for the WEX EnCompass platform applications, focusing on creating robust UIs, APIs, and data streams. This role requires developing a long-term vision for the Corporate Payments services and collaborating on architectural roadmaps that align with business goals. Key qualifications include over 6 years of software engineering experience, expertise in cloud platforms (AWS or Azure), and a strong background in automation testing and security compliance.
Required Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience in software engineering
- Expertise in rapid development and deployment of internal and external services using cloud computing platforms such as AWS or Azure
- Experience writing high-quality automation, including well-formed unit, component, and integration tests
- Strong understanding of security and compliance requirements in cloud and data environments
- Excellent leadership, team-building, and dynamic decision-making skills
- Ability to deal with ambiguity and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Desired Qualifications
- Experience building applications in the finance space, such as credit card products, accounts receivables/payables, etc.
- Experience working with geographically distributed teams
