Job Summary
Build cloud-based, event-driven software systems with high availability and scalability for Dexcom's data pipelines, storage, and APIs. Design architecture, develop code, and execute functional and performance testing across the entire development lifecycle. Collaborate with data scientists to construct machine learning pipelines and automate manual processes to optimize data delivery and infrastructure efficiency. Contribute to code reviews, champion best practices for quality control, and participate in on-call rotation for production systems while protecting client data confidentiality.
Required Qualifications
- Strong programming skills in Kotlin, Java, Golang
- Experience with message brokers, queues, and buses like Kafka, Azure Service Bus, ZeroMQ, NoSQL databases
- Experience with relational databases like MySQL and NoSQL databases like Cassandra
- Familiarity with using relevant, modern software test tools and equipment
- Proven ability to learn new tools and technology
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced and changing environment with short deadlines, interruptions, and several simultaneous tasks and projects
- Strong frontend development exposure
- Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline
- Minimum of 2-5 years related experience
- Master's degree and 0-2 years' equivalent experience
