Job Summary
Senior IT Applications/Software Development leadership role focused on healthcare IT. Leads day-to-day application support operations across clinical and ancillary healthcare domains (e.g., EHR, LIS, Oncology; Pharmacy, HIM, Laboratory; Population Health and Analytics) and oversees incident, problem, and change management, service delivery, and vendor/stakeholder coordination. Manages teams (L2/L3 engineers, SMEs), ensures SLA/KPI compliance, and addresses compliance and risk. Role requires 10+ years in healthcare IT service delivery, experience with ITIL, multi-vendor environments, and familiarity with HIPAA/GDPR and healthcare data governance. Responsibilities also include coordinating patching, upgrades, release cycles, and multi-environment deployments; shift requirements may be dictated by client needs.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in the Healthcare Provider domain with understanding of hospital operations and regulated healthcare environments
- 10+ years of experience in application support, project management, IT operations, or healthcare IT service delivery
- Hands-on expertise in Incident, Problem, and Change Management aligned with ITIL best practices
- Experience supporting COTS healthcare applications and managing multi-vendor ecosystems
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills with the ability to resolve complex L2/L3 issues
- Familiarity with HIPAA, GDPR, healthcare data governance, and security/privacy compliance requirements
- Experience coordinating patching, upgrades, release cycles, and multi-environment deployments
