Job Summary
Software Developer position (Fort Meade, MD) seeking Senior and Intermediate developers to deliver secure coding, DevSecOps practices, and vulnerability assessment across mission-critical, high-security environments. Responsibilities include designing and implementing DevSecOps pipelines, conducting secure software assessments (static/dynamic analysis, vulnerability scanning, threat modeling), providing technical leadership and mentoring, translating operational requirements into secure software solutions, delivering prototypes and production-grade apps supporting national security objectives, and ensuring compliance with DoD cybersecurity policies and ATO documentation.
Required Qualifications
- Active TOP SECRET/SCI clearance with Counterintelligence (CI) Polygraph required
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field (Senior) or 4–7 years of professional software development experience with secure applications; 7–15 years for Senior track
- Strong proficiency in C, C++, and Python
- Experience with virtualization and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, hypervisors, and container orchestration) in secure environments
- DevSecOps (CI/CD pipelines, automated security testing, infrastructure-as-code)
- Operating System Internals / Kernel-level experience (Windows or Linux)
- Knowledge of secure coding principles and SDLC methodologies (Agile/DevSecOps)
- Experience deploying software in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Ability to translate operational requirements into secure software solutions; DoD cyber operations background
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Willingness to work in a secure facility and undergo CI polygraph and background investigations
- DoD 8140.03 requirements for Software Developer role or equivalent cyberspace role
- Education and Experience: Intermediate Software Developer: Bachelor's degree; 4–7 years; Senior Software Developer: Bachelor's degree; 7–15 years; Master’s strongly preferred
