Job Summary
Software Developer (backend) at Springer Nature Group in Pune, hybrid model. Build with Java/Kotlin/Groovy and related tech stack (Postgres, Marklogic, CI/CD, Docker, Unix, XML, XSLT, GCP). Participate in agile ceremonies, develop new features, improve code quality via pair programming, and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver products from design to release. Grow across sprint cycles, gain business-domain understanding, contribute to architecture discussions, and support live applications. Requires 3–5 years of experience and a strong English communicator with a solid foundation in JVM-based backend development and modern web frameworks.
Required Qualifications
- Educational Qualification: B.Sc., BCA, BCS, B.E., B.Tech, M.Tech, MCA and M.Sc or a technology-related field or relevant experience
- 3–5 years of experience in full stack development using modern frameworks
- Hands-on experience in Java/Kotlin/Groovy, JVM ecosystem, Docker, RDBMS, NoSQL db and CI/CD pipelines
- Proficient in English communication, both written and verbal
- Experience working with modern web frameworks
- Ability to write reliable, maintainable, and testable code following industry best practices
- Strong problem-solving skills with experience in debugging and optimizing web applications
- Diagnose, debug, and optimize performance of web and backend applications
- Collaborative mindset with eagerness to learn and grow in a global team environment
