Job Summary
Investigate technical requirements, identify product designs and specifications, and develop secure software application solutions for SAINT's vulnerability, configuration, exploit, analysis, and reporting products. Design, develop, and deploy web-based applications on Linux platforms using Python, C, and other scripting languages while adhering to secure programming principles and TCP/IP protocols. Manage relational databases including schema versioning and migration, and create RESTful APIs. This role requires 7+ years of experience, a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, and proficiency in Agile methodologies. Candidates with prior experience in the security software industry or with SAINT are strongly encouraged to apply.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of web-based application design and development experience on a Linux platform
- Fundamental understanding of Agile Development methodology
- demonstrated experience in application design, development and deployment
- software development on a Linux-based platform
- working knowledge of Python
- working knowledge of C programming languages
- web-application scripting languages
- use of Active Record
- relational database technologies (examples: sqlite; PostgreSQL; MySQL; MS SQL Server; Oracle)
- familiar with secure programming principles for browser-based applications
- working knowledge of the TCP/IP protocol
- Familiar with database administration methodologies, especially schema versioning and migration
- Bachelor degree in Computer Science or direct work-related training/experience in software development
Desired Qualifications
- Web application development using the MVC pattern
- Prior experience with the Yii framework and Active Record
- Prior experience within the security software industry (vulnerability scanners, exploit tools, compliance reporting)
- Experience developing RESTful APIs
- Agile development methodologies
