Job Summary
Top-Secret cleared Software Developer to join Amentum in Washington, DC. The role leads and contributes to large-scale data analysis projects and the design and delivery of on-premises and cloud-based applications. Responsibilities include developing, testing, and debugging software, understanding business requirements and security constraints, collaborating with technical staff to resolve software problems, and contributing to documentation and training. Required skills span Java, JavaScript, Go, Python, TypeScript, and .NET, with backend frameworks such as Spring, Node.js, Go Gin, AngularJS, React, NextJS, Hibernate, and Struts. The position emphasizes Agile processes, software development lifecycle practices, and the ability to operate with latitude in solving complex tasks. A Bachelor's degree and active Top-Secret clearance with SCI eligibility are required, with a minimum of ~5 years of relevant experience. The role is onsite in Washington, DC, typically Monday–Friday.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering, Business or related field
- Active Top-Secret clearance with SCI eligibility
- Minimum of 4-5 years of experience developing, testing, and deploying software including backend languages and frameworks (Java, JavaScript, Go, Python, TypeScript, .NET)
- Experience with backend frameworks such as Java Spring, Node.js, Go Gin, AngularJS, React, NextJS, Spring, Nodejs, NestJS, Gin Spring, Hibernate, Struts
- Experience with software development lifecycle and Agile
- Strong understanding of business applications and security requirements
- Ability to develop, test, and debug software and resolve issues
- Ability to work across multiple teams and deliver on projects
