Job Summary
Software Developer responsible for coding, integrating, debugging, and testing software artifacts to support NGA GEOINT missions. Responsibilities include writing validation tests against baselines, assisting with unit testing, and developing in Python, Java, and TypeScript within frameworks like Spring/Gradle/OpenJDK, React/Node. Eligible candidates must hold a BS in Information Systems/IT/CS (or related) with 8+ years of experience, or a Masters with 6+ years, and possess an active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility and US citizenship. Proficiency in SOA/Web-Services, cloud technologies (AWS), containers (Docker), CI/CD (GitLab), and geospatial tools (ArcGIS) is expected, along with strong communication skills and experience across relational/non-relational databases.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science or closely related discipline OR Master's degree with 6+ years of relevant experience
- 8+ years of prior relevant experience with a BS OR 6+ years with a Master's OR related equivalent
- Active Top Secret Security Clearance with SCI eligibility
- U.S. Citizenship
- Proficiency in software development or software integration projects in a service-oriented environment (Cloud, SOA, Web-Services)
- Experience with GNU-based compilers
- Programming experience in C++, Java, Typescript, and Bash
- Experience with frameworks: Spring/Gradle/OpenJDK, React/Node
- Hands-on experience with relational and non-relational databases (e.g., Amazon RDS, Postgres)
- Strong Python experience
- Experience using GitLab for version control, CI/CD, and resource management
- Experience using Docker for packaging and running applications
- Experience with Web protocols/technologies (HTTP, SSL)
- Familiarity with AWS/Cloud technologies
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Experience with Jira/Confluence
- Preferred: AWS certifications, Linux certifications
- Experience with ArcGIS or geospatial technologies
