Job Summary
Contribute to the development and maintenance of backend services, APIs, and frontend features for Geotab's MyGeotab platform. Work closely with senior software developers and product managers in an Agile environment to deliver high-quality software solutions. Design, develop, and maintain code across backend services and frontend features using languages such as C#, TypeScript, or Python. Write clean, well-tested code and develop unit and integration tests. Identify and resolve bugs from QA and production monitoring, participate in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, daily stand-ups, code reviews, retrospectives), collaborate with product managers and designers to translate requirements into technical implementations, and contribute to internal documentation of code, APIs, and architectural decisions.
Required Qualifications
- Pursuing a Degree/Diploma in Computer Science, Math, Software Engineering or a related field
- Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (e.g., C#, Java, Python, TypeScript, or Go)
- Foundational knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming principles
- Familiarity with Git and collaborative version control workflows
- Exposure to web frameworks, REST APIs, or SQL/NoSQL databases is an asset
