Job Summary
Develop GrainVue, GSI Connect, and grain dryer systems by designing, developing, documenting, testing, deploying, and monitoring features and functionality. Focus on backend development powering products on device and in AWS while supporting front-end work as needed. Assist in troubleshooting software operating in a live system environment and support new and current product development cycles. This role requires a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science with 3-5 years of distributed full-stack experience. Proficiency in Python, AWS services including IoT Core and Lambda, Docker, and Infrastructure as Code tools is essential. ReactJS, TypeScript, and PostgreSQL experience are assets. The position offers a hybrid schedule with four in-office days weekly, a salary of $110,000, and benefits including vacation, group insurance, and pension contributions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree (or higher) in Computer Science
- Minimum of 3-5 years relevant experience developing & supporting a distributed full-stack system
- Proficiency in Python development and object-oriented programming principles
- Experience developing and deploying cloud-based applications using Amazon Web Services (AWS)
- Knowledge of AWS services and architectures, including ECS, Lambda, API Gateway, IoT Core, and SQS/SNS
- Experience with containerization technologies and deployment practices, including Docker
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools and methodologies, such as AWS CDK and Terraform
Desired Qualifications
- Experience developing modern web applications using ReactJS
- Experience with TypeScript for scalable front-end development
- Experience working with PostgreSQL databases
