Job Summary
Software Developer Engineer in Test based in Latin America to work on a long-term project for a crypto wallet client. Responsibilities include designing, developing, and maintaining scalable test automation frameworks using TypeScript; building end-to-end, integration, and unit test suites for fintech products (ACH processing, payment rails, core banking); developing mock services and test data factories for financial transaction flows; leveraging AI tools and LLM-based testing agents for test generation, anomaly detection, and coverage analysis; owning test coverage for payment flows (ACH transfers, wire transactions, card processing, settlement reconciliation); testing integrations with banking core systems, payment processors, and third-party financial APIs; identifying and mitigating risks related to transaction integrity, data accuracy, and financial reporting.
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience as an SDET, QA Engineer, or Software Engineer with a strong testing focus
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript; ability to write clean, maintainable test and production-quality code
- Hands-on experience testing fintech products, payments, lending, and banking
- Deep familiarity with traditional finance concepts: ACH, wire transfers, card networks, settlement, reconciliation, and core banking
- Experience with AI/ML testing methodologies or integrating AI tools into QA workflows
- Expertise with test frameworks such as Jest, Playwright, Cypress, or equivalent TypeScript-native tools
