Software Developer - Developer Platform

Job Summary
Software Developer for Leaseweb's Developer Platform team, responsible for designing, implementing and supporting APIs and tooling used by internal teams and external developers. You will work with PHP (Symfony), Typescript (Angular), Golang, and databases (MySQL, MongoDB) to build and integrate APIs, authentication systems (OAuth2), and developer-focused platforms (logging, libraries/SDKs). The role involves collaborating with product teams, contributing to software architecture, and engaging with the developer community. Requires at least 3 years of software development experience, strong PHP skills, frontend experience, API development experience, and familiarity with Agile methodologies. Work is remote-first with a hybrid setup including Amsterdam headquarters; benefits include relocation support, visa assistance, 25 days PTO, and a flexible work-from-home policy.
Required Qualifications
- At least 3 years of software development experience
- Strong programming skills with PHP (preference)
- Affinity with frontend development (Angular or similar)
- Experience with API development and integrating external services
- Experience designing and contributing to software architectures
- Familiarity with OAuth2 authentication/authorization
- Experience building libraries and/or SDKs is a plus
- Solid knowledge of Linux environments
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum)
- Experience with Terraform or Terraform plugins is a plus
- Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking
- Proactive mindset focused on quality and incident prevention
- Good communication skills in English
